Welcome to the audio tour of the exhibition ‘Uncanny Shifts’ by Urbane Künste Ruhr. On this tour we are guiding you to the various locations around Dortmund’s Main Station. At each stop, you’ll learn more about the artworks and the topics explored by the exhibition.

00:00:05: Welcome to the audio tour of The Exhibition Uncanny Shifts by Obane Künsterruhr.

00:00:10: My name is Alisha Danscher and I have curated this exhibition together with our artistic director, Britta Peters.

00:00:17: On this tour i am guiding you –together with Epe Gensturg who's responsible for art education & network management at Obane-Kunsterruher–to various locations around Dortmunds main station.

00:00:29: At each stop You will learn more about the artworks and topics explored by The Exhibition.

00:00:36: Familiar environments are changing Fundamental orders are shifting Threatening events are recurring.

00:00:44: The uncanny does not merely describe a feeling.

00:00:47: It can also be understood as an expression of a present in which many certainties are being lost And scientific findings are increasingly called into question.

00:01:00: Address the complex world with new inventions, curiosity and prudence.

00:01:06: Their works open up new perspectives – sometimes poetic and full of beauty... ...sometimes analytical and melancholic.

00:01:13: The exhibition spans nine locations around the main station.
